FRESHMAN IMMERSION PROGRAM...THE GATEWAY TO YOUR COLLEGE EXPERIENCE
The Freshman Immersion Program (FIP) is an opportunity for AAP eligible students to meet other new students and learn about Chaminade University and the resources that the Academic Achievement Program can offer them. Just a couple days before New Student Orientation, FIP participants will embark on two days of fun & interactive college preparatory curriculum with Quantum Learning. On our last day together, staff and participants will take in some of the spoils of living in Hawai'i with a trip to the Ko'Olina Lagoon on the northwest side of the island.
By the end of the program, FIP participants will learn to take greater ownership of their lives and their learning while still engaging in community development and team building initiatives. Most importantly, FIP participants will begin their first year with new friendships and higher confidence in their ability to succeed in college. *The program is at no cost to FIP participants. |
